Lake Chapala – Ajijic, Mexico
Just over 5000 feet above sea level, on the western coast of Mexico, radiates the town of Ajijic. The mild, year-round, spring-like climate is described by National Geographic as one of the best climates in the world. Filled with art galleries, small shops, restaurants, and bars, the small town charm is instantly captivating to visitors. Live music is easy to find with trios, mariachis, and even jazz performers sending melodies into the streets and alleyways. Cobblestone streets add texture color to the densely landscaped courtyards along Lake Chapala.
Lake Chapala is a short, 40-minute drive to Guadalajara International Airport, with daily flights to and from the U.S. and Canada, so friends and family can visit! This airport is also a transportation hub to explore the architecture of Mexico City, the white sand beaches of Cancun, or world-class fishing in Cabo San Lucas.
